For those who have been compelled to remain faithful to Christ’s teachings in the midst of trials, this book not only offers an explanation (ironically the one you’ve been seeking, but did not know it), but also provides “from God” encouragement and purpose to your walk. The lives of prophets, visionaries, and intercessors are often lonely, foreboding and confusing. Instead it CAN be a life defined by strong faith, relationship and exciting expectation.
Reading this book, one may not come to full agreement with all of the author’s interpretations of her visions, but you will see that our Lord Jesus Christ revealed to her some important things that need to b e shared with all believers, NOW. I must honestly (Sorry, I don’t know any other way!) that I struggled to push through the Introduction and first two chapters. But, I knew – (Have you ever been trudging on that mountain trail to that trout lake everyone talks of and just when you are about to give–up, you say just one more rise and if I can’t see it from there, then I will quit) – I knew I must continue on.
The beginning of chapter three was that last rise and there it was:
“Scientists continue to search for answers about Global Warming, melting glaciers, and other environmental and mysterious atmospheric changes that are affecting earth.
Without true understanding, this phenomenon will forever remain a mystery. But God is good and He does reveal His Truth to His prophets!”
This book is NOT about Global Warming! The author does share a fantastic, almost unbelievable vision from God. As eccentric (in this case, a proper synonym for “peculiar”) as this vision may seem, there exists some recent scientific, as well as unscientific, observations that testify to the facts in this vision. However, the greater (or lesser, if you may) scientific and political establishment deny the veracity of these observations. This particular vision definitely answers a lot of questions that we have all had lately, although (in my opinion) certain interpretations by the author of God’s purpose for His actions in this vision may be slightly askew.
The test for the biblical prophet is not in the interpretation of the vision, but in the Truth and forthcoming of the vision. I am convinced that God is sharing his plans with those who have ears open to hear His voice. Mary L. Johnson-Gordon has those ears. God is speaking and showing her things of substantial importance.
HOWEVER, this book is not just a capitulation of the author’s visions. It is a book of God’s grace, faithfulness and love. It is about a woman’s faithful love relationship with her Creator, Savior and Lord. It is written to encourage other’s like gifted and CALLED to faithfully believe, pray, teach and act.
If you are CALLED, then this book is a must read for you. In closing, remember:
John 8:31-32 … Jesus said, ”If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
